[VOLUNTEER] Breakthrough San Francisco - Volunteer Leadership Program

Breakthrough San Francisco (formerly Day School Summerbridge) is a member of Breakthrough Collaborative, a national educational nonprofit that launches motivated middle school students with limited educational opportunities on the road to college and encourages young professionals to pursue careers in education.

We are quickly approaching the end of the school year and the start of our summer program. We have revamped our volunteer program and are excited to invite high school students to participate in our Volunteer Leadership Program (formerly known as the VTA program).  This summer's commitment will include increased professional development trainings, opportunities to teach electives, and various leadership experiences. As part of the increased support for volunteers, we are asking high school volunteers to commit to the entire summer.

The summer program dates are June 24 - August 2, with training taking place the week of June 17.   Volunteer Leadership Participants (VLPs) are required to attend everyday (Monday-Friday) from 11:00am-5:30pm.  We are located at the San Francisco Day School (350 Masonic Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94118).

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis through Friday, May 3, 2013.  The online application can be found on our website: http://www.breakthroughsf.org/get-involved. Applicants can check out the website or contact me (Sasha Mungal) at sasha@breakthroughsf.org or 415-568-3667 for more information.
